Job Description
We are seeking an Environmental Health and Safety Officer to join our team at Highline Residence. This role is crucial for ensuring a safe, compliant, and healthy environment for both residents and staff. The ideal candidate will be proactive in developing and implementing safety protocols, conducting hazard assessments, and promoting best practices in health and safety.
This position requires close collaboration with emergency response teams, regular safety inspections, and the delivery of training sessions to raise awareness and preparedness. You will play a key role in incident management, ensuring the safety and well-being of the community while adhering to environmental regulations.
Job Responsibilities
Develop and enforce safety protocols to protect residents and staff while ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.
Conduct regular inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards within the community.
Collaborate with emergency response teams to create and maintain effective evacuation plans for environmental emergencies.
Deliver training sessions on emergency preparedness, waste disposal, and other safety-related topics.
Investigate incidents and accidents, document findings, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Monitor and evaluate safety systems to ensure optimal functionality and adherence to standards.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, or a related field.
Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in health and safety management or environmental compliance.
Strong knowledge of safety regulations, risk assessment, and hazard mitigation strategies.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills for incident investigation and preventive action planning.
Effective communication skills to deliver training and collaborate with diverse teams.
Certification in health and safety management (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA) is highly preferred.
